Today, we all know about a bracelet that is made entirely of zirconia. The most common version with pure, white zircons in white or yellow jewelry. With the increasing popularization of the same, today we can already find it with zircons in other colors such as green, black, blue and others.

Why is the tennis bracelet called that and what connection does it have with tennis?
If you have never researched on your own, now is the time to read our article to the end because the history of the tennis bracelet is interesting.
The tennis bracelet gives the impression of elegance and sophistication with its appearance. It is easy to combine with a variety of styles and colors, as well as with other jewelry. Although, on its own it’s enough, isn’t it?
If we are going to look at it from the very beginning, this bracelet was called the Diamond Line Bracelet.
The first diamond bracelet was made by jewelry designer George Bedewi in the 1920s. However, they gained popularity only in the 1970s.

Specifically, in 1978, when tennis player Kris Evert stopped a tennis match to find a bracelet that fell off her hand when she hit the ball. This is how she made the bracelet model famous and since then it has been called tennis bracelet. After that, jewelry designer Monika Rich Kosann, in partnership with Kris Evert herself, created the first collection of tennis bracelets, in honor of the very history of its creation. Thus, Kris remained the main link in history with the bracelet, although she is not the first or only one to wear it.
As fashion always returns, the popularity of this bracelet has returned in the last few years, and today we can find it in much cheaper versions than the original.

Although the original bracelets are made of real diamonds, cheaper versions can be found in many brands in silver versions with zircons.
